Re: Otodats President

Couple of things to do for wof- headlight alignment, window washers ( just needed nozzles pointing up higher), and handbrake to work better. All in all pretty good!

Re: Otodats President

Finally got this thing running ok-ish, still needs a little tweaking. Running at 20 psi on the fuel pressure. It’s going for a wof on Tuesday so will play with it over the next couple of weeks all going well. Made a amateur mistake today and hooked the wipers on 180 degrees out - made a slight mess ...

Re: Otodats President

The new ones are 270cc, I kind of took a punt at the sizing. The old ones didn’t come out easy and of course info on these things is pretty limited.

Re: Otodats President

Spent quite a bit of time on this to get it running ok. Have come to the conclusion that the injectors I got are perhaps a little large. Got some resistors to try on the temp sensor and found that below 100 ohm the idle becomes more stable. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190813/9b8eb3f2ca21e32a6...

Re: Otodats President

This is at a point where it can be driven. Took it out and gave the floor a sweep then had a reshuffle. Feels good to claim some space back.Image

Re: Otodats President

Backprobed the ecu power and hooked up a jumper cable from the battery- fired straight up and ran perfect. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190803/7d84fce0c36b7cc2b097618d0eeee430.jpg Then noticed I hadn’t hooked up one of the injectors. Stopped it, hooked it up- runs but won’t rev up properly. It...

Re: Otodats President

These are 2.5 ohm injectors also, measured an old one at 2.7 ohm. Yeah you’re right I would have seen a resistor block if it had one. Gut feeling that there some sort of power or earthing issue. Have a module in the engine bay A18 800 030 that I’m not sure what it does. As near as I can figure from ...

Re: Otodats President

Hhmm, you would think with a system of this age there should be a resistor pack somewhere.

Re: Otodats President

Disconnected a injector lead to check voltage, when I turned it over it fired and ran (rough) for a bit. Weird.

Re: Otodats President

180bst came down last weekend for a look, checked over a few things. Temp sensor sitting at 3.94kohms when cold and seems to get lower when as it warms, 5 volts on lead. Checked idle switch (tps) seems ok. Pulled a lead and put on a spare spark plug, getting consistent spark Turing engine over. Had ...
