Re: Otodats President

I wouldn't bother cavity waxing the front until the whole car has been painted if you are doing it in a spray booth. If you cavity wax before hand, it can go runny again while on the bake cycle in the booth and either pool in the lowest point or run out of any drainage holes. Just a heads up

Re: Jordan's 1200 Ute

Grille restorations the last couple days. Bought a 3-piece metal grille, pulled it apart, painted and polished it and even had a crack at getting one of the bigger dents out of one of the chrome trims. It's not mint but it takes your eye off it. Now to figure out the best way to mount it using the f...

Re: Jordan's 1200 Ute

Progress on the ute has pretty much come to a halt as I bought a house 6 weeks ago and have been working on that rather than the datsun but today I thought I'd splash out and get some bits. Went down to Timaru and bought a 1200 sedan rear bumper and all the bits needed for a metal grille conversion ...

Rooms for rent in Prebbleton Chch

Hi everyone. I know that this is super off topic from what should be on a car forum but thought I'd see anyway. I have recently bought a house and have a couple rooms to fill in Prebbleton. Both are good sized, one gets the morning sun and the other gets the afternoon so you can take your pick. It's...

Re: Jordan's 1200 Ute

Theres about 7mm gap between the radiator and fan luckily. It seemed fine when I run it up but I was definitely cautious when I first turned the key

Re: Jordan's 1200 Ute

Took my radiator cap off the other week and the water looked like it was out of a murky swamp so I thought 'f**k that, time for an upgrade'. So I bought a nice alloy radiator, new hoses (because the old ones were crunchy), new thermostat and got some new oil cause the stuff in it looked pretty old. ...
